Job Description

Masters Finance Ltd is recruiting a Human Resources & Administration Manager to lead people management, organisational development, and administrative operations across all branches. The role is responsible for building strong HR systems, driving talent acquisition, strengthening organisational culture, and ensuring administrative efficiency in line with operational needs and regulatory requirements. This position suits a strategic, people-focused leader with strong HR expertise and operational capability.


Responsibilities

Human Resources Management

  • Develop and implement HR policies, systems, and procedures aligned with organisational strategy and labour laws.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for all branches and departments.
  • Oversee onboarding, induction, and staff orientation programs.
  • Coordinate performance management and support managers in setting KPIs.
  • Lead staff training, capacity building, and talent development initiatives.
  • Manage compensation, benefits, payroll inputs, and employee welfare programs.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and administer an efficient HR information system.

Employee Relations & Culture Development

  • Promote a positive work culture, high staff morale, and teamwork.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee grievances and coordinate resolutions.
  • Advise management on disciplinary matters, ensuring fairness and consistency.
  • Support diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement initiatives.

Administration & Support Services

  • Oversee office management, logistics, procurement, and asset management.
  • Ensure safe, well-maintained work environments across all branches.
  • Manage company vehicles, travel arrangements, utilities, and office supplies.
  • Maintain administrative policies in compliance with governance standards and RBM requirements.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure HR and administrative operations comply with Malawi labour laws and RBM guidelines.
  • Prepare HR and administration reports for senior management and the Board.
  • Support internal and external audits related to HR and administration.

Strategic Support

  • Work with the CFO and leadership team to align HR strategy with business goals.
  • Drive organisational change and support the institution’s transition toward commercial banking.

Skills & Qualifications

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
  • HR certification (IPM, SHRM, CIPD) is a strong advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of HR and administration experience, ideally in banking or microfinance.
  • Strong knowledge of Malawi labour laws, HR best practices, and performance systems.
  • Experience supporting multi-branch organisations is an added advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Strong HR information system (HRIS) knowledge.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and administrative tools.
  • Strong report writing and documentation ability.
